On the GWTA Web site, as well as any
regional, state/provincial or chapter
site, we rely on officers and members to
inform us of any changes that need to be
made in order to keep the sites current.
Outdated and/or incorrect information makes
the whole association look bad, and our
Webmasters only know what they've been told.
Let's help them out by keeping them
informed.
Check the Web sites within your area of
responsibility and if you find one that is
outdated, ask the party responsible to have
it updated. If a site is abandoned let all
Webmasters who may have a link to it know as
soon as possible so they can remove the bad
link. Again, these sites reflect poorly on
the association and the entity they
represent.
On the association Web site, go to the
Locator
Map, click your region on the map,
then go through the information on that page
to see that your information is up-to-date.
From that area there are links to region,
state/provincial and chapter Web sites as
well as officer names, email addresses and
phone numbers. This is important contact
information. |

You can create your own Web
site and you can do it at no cost. That's
right, free. Some ISPs offer free server space for
personal Web sites to their customers. Check to see
if yours does; you can avoid banners and pop-ups on
most of them. Alternatively, for under $100
per year, you can get the server space needed with
an easy to remember address of your own, then you'll
be free of all the trappings of most of the slow,
small, banner or pop-up ad-infested free sites.

that walks you through every step of creating a
website from start to finish. NOTE: On this site
they will offer links to vendors they recommend (and
probably receive payment from); visiting the
